Social Media Trends [Lj4]
Social media trends are constantly fluctuating. There are only so many trends that last longer than a typical news cycle. However, if I was tasked with determining potential trends that may stand the test of time, it would include trends that are more industry-related and less activity focused. So many trends are considered dangerous, obnoxious, and/or uncalled for. though these activities themself will fade in and out, the trend of being trending will never dissipate. This world is flooded with influencers and those easily influenced. Seems as though this generation is fixated on this phenomenon and that isn't likely to change anytime soon. (Notar)
I used to be extremely into social trends when I was younger because of I did not have my own personality. Everything I did was based on what was popular at the time. Now that I am an adult I refuse to allow myself to fall back into these same trends that prevented me from allowing myself to reach my full and complete authentic self.
If we are speaking frankly, the AI systems like ChatGPT have no real purpose for my day-to-day life. After looking at the modules I did some research on the capabilities of such a system however I don't see it as very feasible for me.
As far as I know, there aren't any new trends that have yet to be discussed however the week is still new, I'm sure there will be something fresh going on in the next couple of days, and there is always something going on, especially near a college campus.

Hey Jonathan, I agree with your statement that trends that are overall more negative are more likely to die out over time. I think with the current popularity of influencer culture, we are giving more people a platform than who deserve it, which in turn, increases the amount of 'bad' trends that we encounter.
